GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE OF THE PLITVICE LAKES NATIONAL PARK WEBSHOP
General information
The protected area of the Plitvice Lakes National Park is managed by the Public Institution Plitvice Lakes National Park (hereinafter: the Institution). The area managed by the Institution is an area of exceptional natural value of the Republic of Croatia, and it is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Because of its outstanding beauty and accessibility, the area has more and more visitors each year. The primary task of the Institution is to preserve the natural value of the area and enable visits accordingly, in a way that is both safe and satisfactory for the visitors. Therefore, the Institution started developing a Visitor Management Action Plan detailing the terms and manners of use of the protected area. One of the steps foreseen by the Plan is the creation of this Webshop on the website at the domain: https://ticketing.np-plitvicka-jezera.hr. The voucher distribution and payment service is provided via the Webshop of the Plitvice Lakes National Park by the Public Institution Plitvice Lakes National Park, Josipa Jovića 19, 53231 Plitvička Jezera, Croatia.
Preamble
These General Terms and Conditions of Webshop Use (hereinafter: the Terms) set out the conditions and rules for end users (hereinafter: the Users or the User). By using the Webshop, the Users accept these Terms and agree to use the Webshop in accordance with them. The right to use the Webshop is a personal right of the User and it cannot be transferred to other natural or legal persons in any way, nor is the User authorised to sign up other natural or legal persons. The prices are denominated in kunas (HRK), including VAT, and apply to all payment methods at the checkout. The Webshop prices can be denominated in several global currencies, but the converted amount is of informative nature. Any legal disputes that may arise as a consequence of the use of this Webshop (unless stated otherwise by a special agreement) fall within the jurisdiction of the Court in Gospić and are settled in accordance with current regulations of the Republic of Croatia. By using this Webshop, the User agrees that any dispute or claim arising from or in relation to these Terms falls under the jurisdiction of the Court in Gospić. The User accepts and agrees that the access to the Webshop may sometimes be disrupted, temporarily unavailable or disabled due to routine Webshop maintenance and for other reasons for which the service provider is not responsible. The User can submit queries, comments, objections and complaints in writing (by mail or e-mail), and the service provider will send a written response (by mail or e-mail) within the legally specified term.
Acceptance of Terms
By using the Plitvice Lakes National Park Webshop or any part of its content or services, the User confirms that they are aware of and accept these Terms and all other rules and conditions of use of the Webshop and the services provided through it. If the User does not agree with the stated Terms or if they are under 18 years of age, they are advised not to continue using the website and the services provided through it.
Term and Webshop changes
The service provider reserves the right to repeal or change any of these Terms when they find it necessary, at any time and without prior notice, and such changes will take effect on the day they are published on the Webshop pages. Therefore, the Users are advised to reread the information contained in the Terms from time to time to stay informed of such changes. If the User continues to use the Webshop or any part of its content or services after the publication of new, changed Terms, it means that the User accepts the changes. The service provider reserves the right to change, amend or cancel any business segment at any time and without prior notice, including the Webshop, i.e. any part of it, the services, subpages or services provided through them. Said right includes, without limitation, changes to the times of availability, content, availability of new data, transfer methods and the right to access or use the website. The service provider is entitled to control the Webshop content at any time to ensure compliance with these Terms and current legislation.
Liability
The User is solely and personally responsible for their use of this Webshop. The User is personally responsible for the confidentiality of passwords where they exist as such. The User is aware of occasional service disruptions or events which are outside the service provider’s control and accepts that the service provider is not liable for any data loss that may occur during online transfer of information. The service provider is in no way liable for any damage that may result from the use or the inability to use this Webshop, or for any damage to the User’s equipment which may result from the use of this Webshop. The User is responsible for the procurement and maintenance of their computer equipment, including all software and hardware they use, as well as other equipment necessary to access and use this Webshop and any related expenses. The User’s liability applies to all damage or potential injury caused by any error, exemption, disruption, deletion, fault, delayed operation or transfer, computer virus, communication breakdown, theft, destruction or unauthorised access, alteration or misuse of records, misconduct, negligence or any other action. In addition to the above-mentioned terms, the service provider is not liable, regardless of the cause and duration, for any errors, inaccuracies or other defects, unsuitability or inauthenticity of information contained on the pages of this Webshop or for any delay or disruption of the transfer of information to the User, or claims or losses arising from this. None of the above-mentioned parties will be liable for any third-party claims or losses, including the loss of profit. The User agrees to indemnify and release the service provider from responsibility for any claims for compensation and damages, including the costs of legal representation which may arise from the use of this Webshop by the User. The Users may not use the Webshop to publish or transfer any materials that jeopardise or violate the rights of others in any way, any materials that are illegal, endangering, offensive, slanderous, violating or compromising privacy, vulgar, obscene or otherwise unwanted in polite communication, that promote illegal activities or otherwise infringe any regulation, and that contain advertising or offers of anyone’s products and services without prior explicit written consent of the service provider. The User may not use this Webshop for advertising or commercial, religious, political or non-commercial promotion purposes. The User explicitly confirms that the terms and conditions from this chapter apply to all Webshop content.
Copyright
The Webshop is the property of the Public Institution Plitvice Lakes National Park. All communication and interaction taking place via this website and Webshop must comply with these Terms. Either the service provider has exclusive rights over all materials contained on the Webshop pages, or those materials are used with the consent of the copyright holder and the trademark and/or design right holder.
Any reproduction, distribution, transfer, publication, linking or other alteration of the content of these pages without explicit consent of the service provided is strictly prohibited!
The violation of these Terms may lead to litigation proceedings and/or legal prosecution of the perpetrator due to the infringement of copyrights, trademark rights or any other form of intellectual property rights.
*User registration - User account
To use certain content and services on this website, the User must log into the system using their e-mail address, password (key) or other data provided in the User registration procedure. In the user registration and user account opening procedure, the service provider will collect certain personal data from the User which is subject to the protection of the User’s personal data. When registering and completing their personal profile, the User must provide correct, complete and valid data. The use of names, nicknames and titles owned by third-parties or data which is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, slandering or otherwise damaging to children and minors is not permitted. It is not permitted to register two or more user accounts for one legal or natural person. If these rules are violated, the service provider is entitled to deactivate or delete the user account and limit the purchase of tickets for the Plitvice Lakes National Park. By activating a user account, the User accepts liability for all activities performed in its use on this website. The Service Provider reserves the right to refuse registration, as well as to abolish or deny the possibility of further use of the User Account for which the User is registered if the User violates the Service Provider's policies, the User Account will be terminated, or further use will be denied.
*Personal data protection and safety
The service provider agrees not to misuse the User’s personal data. Personal data is all data identifying the User (e.g. name and surname, e-mail address, home address, etc.). The service provider is obliged to protect the User’s personal data by collecting only the basic data on the User which is necessary for the performance of obligations. All personal data of the User is carefully protected and transferred using the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol, which is why the data cannot be used by third parties. The service provider will not provide or disclose the User’s personal data to any third party, except where explicitly required by law and where necessary for the performance of obligations. In case of change in any personal data (e.g. the place of residence, delivery address) recorded during the registration, the User must enter the changed personal data on the website. If the User did not enter the changed personal data on the website, the service provider will not be liable for any errors regarding the order or delivery. The data which is automatically recorded upon website access, and which is not personal data (type of browser, number of visits, time spent on pages, etc.) can be used by the service provider only to assess website visits and improve website content and functionality. Cookies are the information stored on the User’s computer that enables better website functionality. With the default setting, the User’s computer accepts cookies, and if the User wants to disable them, they will no longer have the options such as fast one-click selection or a personalised homepage. The service provider will use the User’s e-mail address only for the ordering and payment procedure on this website. The personal data protection provisions stated above apply only to the website from these Terms.

Moreover, we will notify you about all important improvements of our website/Webshop/shopping procedure. In any case, the Nacionalni Park Plitvička jezera public institution does not send unwanted advertising by e-mail.

WSPay - personal data protection pursuant to the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council - Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and the implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation
WSPay, as the provider of credit card authorisation and payment service, handles personal data in the role of data processor and treats personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council - Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and the strict rules of the PCI DSS L1 regulation on the protection of data input and transfer.
WSPay uses the 256-bit encryption SSL certificate and the TLS 1.2 cryptographic protocol as the highest levels of protection for data input and transfer.
The personal data used for the purpose of authorisation and payment, i.e. performance of obligations under or pursuant to the Agreement, is considered confidential data.

WSPay does not process or use this personal data for any purpose other than the performance of the authorisation and payment agreement.
WSPay guarantees the fulfilment of all terms and conditions set out in the applicable personal data protection regulations for data processors, in particular to take all necessary technical, organisational and safety measures, which is specifically confirmed by the PCI DSS L1 certificate.
The User agrees that personal data can be electronically processed by the Nacionalni park Plitvička jezera public institution for service performance purposes. Pursuant to legal provisions, the User agrees to the transfer of their data to partner companies.
*Types and methods of payment
The following credit and debit cards can be used for shopping on this website:
Payment with bank cards is managed via WSPay (service for online credit and debit bank card authorisation and payment) by a third party (Web Studio d.o.o.), who receives the bank card number and other data exclusively for real-time payment purposes.
Confidential bank card information (card number, expiration date and CVV code) entered by the User is transferred via SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol and stored on servers. The service provider is not liable for unauthorised use of the User’s bank credit card data. WSPay is a safe system, for online payment, real-time payment with credit and debit cards and other payment methods. WSPay guarantees safe input and transfer of entered card data to the customer and the trader, which is confirmed by the PCI DSS certificate held by WSPay. WSPay uses the 256-bit encryption SSL certificate and the TLS 1.2 cryptographic protocol as the highest levels of protection for data input and transfer.
*Ticket ordering and purchase
To order and purchase tickets via this website, the User performs the following steps:
- Selection of the date and time of arrival
- Selection of the type and amount of tickets for the Plitvice Lakes National Park
- User registration (login)
- Input of the ticket holder
- Order forwarding (review of all data, final check, acceptance of Terms, etc.)
- Payment - selection of the payment method and input of the data required for the payment (WSPay)
- Order receipt confirmation by the service provider
- Payment confirmation (WSPay)
- Voucher purchase confirmation and issuance of the receipt for the completed purchase (distribution and payment service provider)
