Terms of Sales and Payment of Tickets for the Plitvice Lakes National Park

Pursuant to the Nature Protection Act, the Statute of the Public Institution Plitvice Lakes National Park and the Rules of Internal Order, all visitors of the Plitvice Lakes National Park (hereinafter: the NP) must have a valid ticket during the tour (and/or when in the tour zone). The tour zone comprises the area and the corresponding roads (roads, paths, bridges) included in tour programmes. The tour zone does not include the villages in the NP area and main roads.

The visitors must keep the valid ticket until the end of the tour and present it to the NP staff on request.

We kindly ask all potential visitors to get acquainted with the tour terms and options as well as with the rules of conduct, restrictions, prohibitions and recommendations before the visit.

A visitor/customer who has bought a wrong kind/type of ticket will not be allowed to enter the tour zone.

What is included in the ticket price?

The ticket is a contribution to the protection and preservation of the value of a protected area. In addition to the right to enter and stay in the tour zone, it includes visitor insurance, use of a panoramic vehicle and boat in the selected tour programme. The ticket is valid only for the selected day, hour/time slot and entrance to the NP. A two-day ticket is valid on the day for which it has been purchased and the following day. It cannot be used afterwards. In case of injury, insurance is valid only for the visitors who observed the rules of conduct and stayed on the marked paths and viewpoints.

Receipt issuance

A receipt is issued immediately after a successful card payment. The ticket is sent to the customer’s e-mail along with the receipt.

Ticket use

Tickets purchased via Plitvice Lakes National park webshop need to be stored on the mobile device or printed and validated at the official entrance that was selected during purchase and within time period for which the ticket is purchased. Visitors visiting the Park in visitation zone with inactive ticket will be considered to be without valid ticket and will be treated in accordance with the applicable National Park Rules.

Cancellation and/or replacement of tickets purchased

All online ticket orders and purchases are binding and final and cannot be cancelled or changed, and additional payments for other ticket types are not possible. Each online purchase becomes final after completing the purchase procedure, i.e. after the ticket is sent and the invoice is issued. If the ticket is not validated at the official entrance that was selected during purchase and within time period for which the ticket is purchased, its return or refund will not be accepted. Public Institution Plitvice Lakes National Park leaves the possibility of return in emergency situations that arise, and prevent the travel and arrival of customers to the location. Depending on the case and the submitted documentation, it will be decided on further action.

Terms and Scope of Ticket Use, Prohibitions, Recommendations

The NP can be seen on a walking tour, panoramic vehicle tour, boat and rowing boat tour. Moving outside the marked paths is not permitted. The visitor insurance included in the price of the ticket is not valid in case of injury when the visitors did not observe the rules of conduct and the restrictions of moving and activity.

Tour options depend on the weather. Tour information can be obtained any day at the NP entrances or on +385 (0)53 751 015. The panoramic vehicle and boat transport and their use also depend on the weather.

• WINTER – winter (standard) time (from the last Sunday in October) – summer (daylight saving) time (until the last Saturday in March): 8.00 a.m. – 4.00 p.m. (entry/purchase/collection of tickets until 2 p.m.)

• SPRING – summer (daylight saving) time (from the last Sunday in March) – 1 June: 8.00 a.m. – 7.00 p.m. (entry/purchase/collection of tickets until 5 p.m.)

• SUMMER – 1 June – 25 August: 7.00 a.m. – 8.00 p.m. (entry/purchase/collection of tickets until 6 p.m.)

• AUTUMN – 25 August – 1 October: 7.00 a.m. – 7.00 p.m. (entry/purchase/collection of tickets until 5 p.m.)

• 1 October – winter (standard) time (until the last Sunday in October): 8.00 a.m. – 6.00 p.m. (entry/purchase/collection of tickets until 4 p.m.)
